First Signs

At 6 ft. tall, totems form a striking addition to any room. They can be hung individually or in groupings.  They can even be hung horizontally for an entirely different look.

My camera reel is full of detail shots that catch my eye on walks.  While I seldom refer back to them directly, they are in my mind when I paint, draw, or print.  Later I curate bits that go together to tell a story of mood or place.

"First Signs" is inspired by an early spring walk, when new growth is just starting to appear.  Rich greens are interspersed with the neutral tones of the remaining winter landscape.  The piece feels fresh and alive.
